Clinical Observation of Millimeter Wave Acupoint Treatment of Diabetic Neuropathy

Clinical Observation of Millimeter Wave Acupoint Treatment of Diabetic Neuropathy

  • Healthcare marts

The Article is Translated the Clinical Observation of Dr.Wang Guixiang and Fan Huiping, Who Worked at People's Hospital in Jiangxi Province, Nanchang, China.

Objective: To study the clinical effect of millimeter wave acupoint treatment on diabetic neuropathy.

Methods: Observed and compared the changes in clinical symptoms and the changes of blood glucose in 30 patients before and after treatment with millimeter wave points.

Results: The improvement rate of clinical symptoms (90.0%) in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group (26.7%). There was the significant difference between the two groups (P <0.01), but there was no significant change in the blood glucose.

Conclusion: millimeter acupoint therapy has a good effect on diabetic neuropathy.

Millimeter wave therapy is based on traditional Chinese medicine meridian theory, combined with modern electronic millimeter wave technology of non-invasive non-invasive Chinese medicine high-tech electronic treatment. The principle is using of advanced millimeter wave pulse frequency irradiation therapy technology and supplemented by a specific frequency of electrical stimulation of the human body acupuncture points in order to achieve energy conversion, improve the body's immune function, improve human microcirculation, regulating the body's endocrine and nervous system, to improve and treat the role of diabetes. To further understand the method of treatment of diabetic patients with neuropathy results, from January 2000 to November 2002 our department conducted a clinical observation.

Diabetic Neuropathy Treatment

1 Subjects and methods

Object: According to WHO1985 diagnostic criteria for a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes 60 patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. There were 37 males and 23 females with a mean age of 51.3 years (2.6 years). Selection conditions: varying degrees of peripheral nerve and autonomic nervous system symptoms, spontaneous limb numbness, sensory disturbance, rule out the serious liver and kidney disease and heart disease.

There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of age, sex, the course of the disease and so on.

Methods: Patients were selected to maintain the original drug treatment unchanged, diet and exercise is basically the same. The treatment group plus millimeter wave therapy, the instrument uses WLTY-2000 type Weili computer diabetes treatment instrument, the choice of ultra-low pulse stimulation of 9 points: Feishu, Pan Yu, Pishu, Zhongli, Guan Yuan, Zusanli (right), Yongquan (left, for the public), Millimeter probeirradiate the acupoint Quchi (right), Zusanli (left), each acupoint Every 10 times for a course of treatment, the clinical observation period of 2 courses, every 2 weeks check fasting blood glucose and 2h postprandial blood glucose 1 times, the hospital's clinical and neurological examination by the designated doctor. Blood glucose by the United States Johnson & Johnson ONETOUCHTWO blood glucose meter. Each patient before treatment observed and recorded clinical symptoms, including limb pain, skin sensory decline, numbness, fever, sweating, sweating, diarrhoea constipation, dysuria and so on. All subjective symptoms with no, light, moderate and severe grading, will be markedly improved to improve the level 2, improvement set to improve 1, no change as invalid. Statistics using χ round test, test.

2 Results

2.1 Subjective changes in symptoms After 2 courses of treatment by millimeter wave, the subjective symptoms were relieved to some extent, the total effective rate was 90.0%, while the control group was only 26.7%, there was a significant difference between the two groups (P <0.01). See Table 1 for details.

2.2 before and after treatment of blood glucose changes after treatment with fasting blood glucose, 2h postprandial blood glucose compared with before treatment to a certain extent, but no significant difference (P> 0.05). See Table 2 for details.

In addition, liver function before and after treatment, no significant difference in renal function (data omitted), no adverse reactions during treatment.

3 Discussion

3.1 Peripheral neuropathy is one of the common complications of diabetes, the pathogenesis may be associated with neointimal microvascular disease leading to neurotrophic disorders, neurological axons and Schwann cells internal metabolism, and vascular disease caused by inadequate supply. In addition, may also be related to blood lipids, hemorheology and concurrent nutrition disorders and vitamin deficiency and other factors [1]. The main pathological changes are segmental demyelination of nerve fibers, axonal regeneration impaired and appear "degeneration", characterized by early sensory nerve involvement, limb pain, numbness as the prominent clinical manifestations, severe pain often Patients lose the confidence to overcome the disease, but no breakthrough has been made in the treatment so far.

3.2 The principle of millimeter wave acupoint therapy is that when the millimeter wave acts on the organism, it is absorbed by the epidermal tissue. The biological action passes through the neurohumoral fluid and the meridian pathway and so on. Because of the DNA, the RNA protein macromolecule and the biofilm in the biological tissue have its inherent oscillation frequency (0.15 Yi 1010 ~ 3 Yi 1010 HZ). This frequency is in the millimeter range (3 Iraq 1010 ~ 3 Iraq 1011HZ). Therefore, millimeter waves act upon these macromolecules and biofilms, resonate, increase their energy, change the microstructure of tissues, and change the activity of proteins, amino acids and enzymes.
